I wonder if I can get a fixed 30 year jumbo for under 5.7%?
Actually, real question... has jumbo loans returned to the market yet? The last I heard, you needed at least 30% down with a FICA of over 800 to get a small jumbo loan. The bank that was offering it is the largest bank in the area, it would be keeping the loan on its own books.
At the time I talked to the Banker he could only sell conforming loans for Freddie and Fannie. He was commenting that his outlet stream had gone from 10 sources in August to 2 sources now. This was months ago.
